No this is not about Tiger from the Brady bunch, Im talking about Tiger Woods the Great one.

Everyone is trying to figure out the Tiger Woods crash and what really happened that night, I say leave the man alone and let him be. What business is it of ours as to what he and his wife might have had going on that night?

I think all this buzz really shows us how sick our society is these days, everyone is lining up to smear someone who truly is a blessing to our society. Oh I can hear it now people saying “Blessing to society?” yeah I said it. I think Tiger Woods is truly a blessing.

Tiger is that rare person who God blessed and then in turn showed his thanks with the fruits of that gift. We all take for granted what this person is and what he accomplishes on almost a daily basis. Tiger is one of few in this world who took the talent God gave him and ran with it. He didnt whine or complain and say oh why was I cursed with such talent or this is too much for me to carry being this good. No, he took the gift and did something that so few do and that is why Tiger is a blessing.

To really understand what this man has done everyone needs to go play a round of golf. Tee up a ball and point to where you want it to go and then hit it there. My friends then you will realise just how great this person is. Not only is he a great golfer but he is a class act all the way. I have read that he has a temper and can be aloof but I think that is part of who Tiger is. He is just a human being and will never be perfect, so look what he does with this imperfect person.

I have actually caught myself getting choked up watching Tiger do what he does. Several years ago I was flipping through the channels and happened up on a Golf Tournament and Tiger was playing. I can remember sitting there in awe, shot after shot Tiger would hit it stiff to the pin. As Tiger was tearing the course apart the broadcasters were singing his praises and I remember one of his competitors saying your watching something special every time he walks onto a Golf course. Tiger won the Tournament going away and he did it with the utmost civility and class.

The humility that he shows is another reason to appreciate this man. In his position he could be whatever he chooses and I appreciate the fact that he chooses to be humble and a role model for how a man should act. I think for what this man has done he deserves from us our respect and his privacy.

The significance of the game he plays doesnt have a bearing on the real important things in life this is true. It is the way the Man prepares and studies the game and then on many occasions makes something that is absolutely one of the most difficult games in the World look so easy. How can that not be appreciated? I know he is merely a Golfer but I think what he has done and how he does it is under appreciated.

I guess the whole reason I wrote this today is because I really dont understand why so many revel in seeing him in this position. I hope Tiger holds out and stays true to himself about his privacy and moves away from this. After all the adulation I have talked about in this writing I do want to make one thing clear, Tiger is to be cherished not worshipped.

If you ever get a chance watch Tiger play, understand that the man you are watching is the best in the world at what he does. Think about that, the WORLD!

I hear so often that you must not dwell on the past but look toward the future. I reflect everyday on the time I have spent in the past and I feel that my past is what made me who I am today. Living in the now and reflecting on the past seems to comfort me and the thoughts of what is to come in the future are very unsettling .

I have always been a live in the now kind of person and it seems to be working pretty good for me. True, living in the now can be troublesome at times but the future is just to damn scary for me. The fear of getting old scares me so much it sometimes occupies my every thought. Is this normal to be so reluctant to look ahead?

Im sure some will say that if I had prepared myself in my past for the future I could look ahead with no reluctance. It’s hard to make a good argument against that logic, I honestly can say Im guilty of not preparing myself for the future like I should have. Where in my past did I take the wrong turn? Where was it that I made this decision to live in the now and not plan or look toward the future? See, I keep going backwards!!

Ahhhh living in the now and reflecting on the past is so warm and comfy, remembering the days of our youth the loves of our lives the wins and losses. My past is warming to my heart and soul, I have no complaints. When Im not thinking about what I want to do today I reflect on those wonderful memories of my past.

I know many people who run from the past like it’s a rabid zombie chasing them down to eat their liver. I think to myself, why are these people so scared of the past and the thought of living in the now? Is it because they look to far into the future? Is it that their past is riddled with failures and unhappiness? Are those who are so adamant on looking toward the future missing what life is about? Is it the little things, the simple pleasures in life that are over looked by the planning for the future? Could that be it?

Im sure most would say I think not. I myself, being the today is the day live in the moment kind of guy says oh yes thats it. What do you think?

I think that we are all missing the very thing that God created for us here. It’s Those little things that rarely get the attention like a sunrise or that evening sunset, a childs laugh, that feeling you get when you see the ones you love smile. Its the little things like that we experience everyday in the now that are taken for granted because we have been schooled by society to want more to achieve more when happiness is right in front of our faces.

They say the future is bright, but what about today?

Do we look ahead so much chasing the future that we forget to live? I really think so.

What do you think?
